Home to the Daibutsu of Kamakura

Enshrined at Kotoku-in Temple is the Daibutsu or Great Buddha. This impressive statue lives up to its name. It is nearly 37 feet tall, 30 feet wide, and weighs 121 tons. Visitors can also go inside the statue.

HOURS April~Sept.: 8:00am~5:30 pm; Oct.~March: 8:00am~5:00pm. The statue can be entered from 8:00am~4:30pm.
