TOPICS 2: Take a walk around Shimizu Park, one of Japan’s top 100 places to see cherry blossoms
One station away from Atago Station on the Tobu Urban Park Line, you can get to Shimizu Park in 10 minutes by walking. Noted for being one of the top 100 places to view cherry blossoms in all of Japan, this famous park is home to around 2,000 blooming cherry blossoms in early April every year. Other than the cherry blossoms, you can see beautiful azaleas in spring and kochias in fall making it a great place to visit at any time of year.
