Ah, Japanese 100 yen stores. Such treasure troves for cute, fun and useful items that are - most wonderful of all - extremely affordable. These shops stock literally everything: stationery, gardening tools, food, craft supplies, baby goods, make-up... there's almost no limit to what you can get for 100 yen (110 with tax). 100 yen stores can be a great place to look for souvenirs and gifts with a Japanese feel, too. Aside from the convenient price, you get the added bonus of buying something more authentic than you would find in a souvenir store, learning about Japanese daily life and culture in the process.
Here we'll introduce you to some of our favorite items from Seria, a colorful and stylish 100 yen shop chain.
