The largest inland sea in Japan, the Seto Inland Sea is home to some 700 islands of varying sizes. One of those called islands is Teshima, blessed with a mild climate and calm seas lapping its shores, and has long been home to a thriving agricultural and fishing industry. Teshima is brimming with spectacular nature—terraced rice fields cascade down gentle slopes overlooking the ocean, and seascapes stretch out past expansive tangerine orchards and olive groves.
