Enjoy seasonal dishes inside the beautiful Kasuga Taisha Shrine
Kasuga Ninai Jaya is located near the entrance to the Man’yo Botanical Garden inside Kasuga Taisha Shrine. Here you can try the man’yo kayu (rice porridge). This rice porridge which is made with white miso comes with a seasonal side dish that changes monthly as well as dashimaki rolled omelet and pickles. The store also sells tea towels made from Nara-zarashi, hemp fabric from Nara that’s been bleached in the sun.
