If you need a break from the city, these hiking courses are located 50 minutes from downtown Tokyo.
There are several courses that lead up to the peak of the mountain, but most people choose the route that passes Yakuo-in Temple. The temple has lovely cherry blossoms in the spring and vibrant folliage in the fall. You can also take a cable car halfway up the mountain.
