Byodoin Temple

This is the temple that you will find inscribed on the 10 yen coin.

This temple is home to buildings and a statue of Buddha approximately 1000 years old. The Phoenix Hall appears to float on the surface of the pond and is an impressive sight. Hoshokan, the Byodo-in Temple museum, is home to a large collection of treasures.

HOURS 8:30am-5:30pm (entrance until 5:15pm), Phoenix Hall open from 9:10am-4:10pm
