Chion-in Temple

知恩院

This temple is well-known for ringing its large bell 108 times on New Year's Eve.

In addition to the Sanmon Gate, which stands 24 meters tall and 50 meters wide, you can enjoy the other buildings, the massive bell tower, and the gardens here. The Mieido Hall is currently undergoing repairs which are set for completion in 2019.
