Jingo-ji Temple

Enjoy the fiery colors of the autumn foliage at this temple.

This temple has deep ties with Kukai, the monk that helped spread esoteric Buddhism in Japan. It is also well-known as an autumn foliage viewing spot. You can throw unglazed pottery into the ravine to ward off bad luck, a practice known as kawarake nage.
