A powerful landmark of Hiroshima
This castle was originally built in 1589. It was destroyed by the atomic blast and subsequently rebuilt in 1958. The history of the castle and a model of its original appearance are on display inside. You can try on a samurai helmet and armor at the hands-on corner. There is also an observation area located on the top floor where you can look out over the city of Hiroshima.
