There are also a number of both Japanese-style and modern cafes that serve Japanese sweets like mochi rice cakes and sweet red adzuki beans. It's a great place to pick up some souvenirs, grab a bite, or just walk around to take in the atmosphere of Kyoto. When planning your day, keep in mind that many of the stores in Nishiki Market close at 6:00pm
