Meet Ryo-san from KochiKame!
A park located 5 minutes by foot from JR Kameari Station. Kameari is the real-life place for the popular manga "Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Koen-mae Hashutujo". In Kameari Park you can find two statues of the manga's protagonist Kankichi Ryotsu (Ryo-san), "Hitoyasumi Ryo-san" and "Double Peace Ryo-san". Aside from being a popular photo spot, the park also hosts slides and swings for the kids to enjoy. In addition to Kameari Park, there are other bronze statues of KochiKame characters in the Kameari area.
