Kitakami Municipal Park Tenshochi

北上市立公園展勝地

Beautiful cherry trees line the Kitakami River.

10,000 cherry blossoms bloom within an area of 293 hectares. Rows of trees extend for 2km beginning at the Sango-bashi Bridge and form a tunnel of cherry blossoms when in full bloom. Visitors hoping to see the cherry blossoms in full bloom should aim for Mid-April to early May.
