Tsunagi Onsen

つなぎ温泉

Discovered in the 11th century, these age-old hot springs bubble up from underground by the side of a lake.

It is said that General Minamoto no Yoshiie hitched his beloved horse to a rock with a hole in it and bathed here, healing his battle wounds. The hot springs are located a short distance from Morioka at the edge of Lake Gosho-ko and a number of lodging facilities offering great views can be found nearby.
