A statue of Ozora Tsubasa, protagonist of the famous manga series "Captain Tsubasa" welcomes visitors at this park. Being the hometown of the manga's author Yoichi Takahashi, the whole area of Yotsugi and the nearby Tateishi are dotted with statues of characters from "Captain Tsubasa".
