Heian Jingu Shrine

平安神宮

 

 

This shrine is a reproduction of the magnificent building that stood here around 1200 years ago.

With its red pillars and green roof tiles, this shrine is a smaller replica of a building from approximately 1200 years ago that had ties with the Emperor. There are four gardens on the temple grounds, each with its own unique character.

HOURS 6:00am-6:00pm, Open until 5:00pm from Nov. 1 thru Feb. 14 of the following year, Open until 5:30pm from Feb. 15 thru Mar. 14 and in Oct.
COST Free Admission/ Adults 600 yen | Children 300 yen/
