Traditional Japanese-style "machiya" houses of Naramachi have been faithfully recreated down to the finest details.

Traditional Japanese-style houses, which feature a narrow front facing the street with an interior that extends far toward the back, have been faithfully recreated. Visitors can observe fine details around the houses that helped to enrich the living experience, such as staircase storage and courtyards.
