There's Still Time! Plan Your Visit to Disney Christmas 2016

Disney Christmas is in full swing at Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea! If you haven't yet made it to Disney just yet, here's a look at the special Christmas spirit waiting for you there to enjoy this year!

Tokyo DisneySea's 15th anniversary Christmas show is a must-see!

This year Tokyo DisneySea is celebrating the 15th anniversary of its opening with a special celebration, "Tokyo DisneySea: the Year of Wishes." Now in addition to ornaments celebrating this special anniversary, there are also Christmas decorations as well.

The mood here is even more festive this year than usual!

At the American Waterfront, you can see a 15 meter tall Christmas tree on display in front of the gorgeous S.S. Columbia.

The park practically sparkles thanks to these decorations.

Out of all the fun things there are to enjoy at Tokyo DisneySea this Christmas, there's one in particular that you just can't miss. It's the nighttime main event, “Colors of Christmas: Nighttime Wishes!” Mickey Mouse and many of his other Disney friends enter the scene on a giant boat as light and music performances unfold. With so many brilliant colors, it's easy to get wrapped up in the feeling of magic. There are fountains of water, fireworks, and so much more to see! There's one fifteen minute show per day.

As the show progresses, the colors and ornaments on the Christmas tree begin to change.

In addition to the evening show, the afternoon performance, "Perfect Christmas," is another must-see. There are two performances a day at twenty-five minutes each. While shows here normally begin with Mickey and his friends entering by boat, they enter the stage area through the park for the "Perfect Christmas" show.

Enjoy a storybook-like Christmas at Tokyo Disneyland

At Tokyo Disneyland's Christmas celebration, "Christmas Fantasy," you can enjoy a storybook-like atmosphere with all your Disney friends. You can find picture book-themed decorations in many places such as at the entrance or in the courtyard in front of Cinderella's castle.

During the afternoon parade, "Disney Christmas Stories," the Disney characters share seven stories with their friends. There are two shows a day that run forty-five minutes each. The characters stop at three different places on the parade route and, at the sound of bells, a Christmas party begins!

Don't forget about the limited edition Christmas souvenirs!

There are plenty of wonderful limited-edition Christmas souvenirs on sale now at both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea. For example, this year we have SnoSnow-- snowmen shaped like Mickey and Minnie! There are different parts of this stuffed toy that you can change according to your preferences, making it a very popular buy. These are on sale at both parks.  *Please note that purchase is subject to availability, and that certain items may be sold out.

Even the Disney Resort Train Line is getting into the Christmas spirit!

Until December 25th, even the Disney Resort Line--the train which connects the parks and hotels-- is getting into the Christmas spirit! Each station has different Christmas decorations, so be sure to make a stop at all four!

Here's a final tip for enjoying your winter visit to Tokyo Disney Resort's Disney Christmas. The wind can be very cold because of the parks' proximity to the sea, so be sure to dress very warm when you go! The average temperatures for December range from 0 to 10 degrees celsius, and it feels especially cold at night. You’ll want to dress a bit warmer than you would when just going about central Tokyo. Scarves and gloves are a very good idea!

Disney Christmas is going on until the 25th of December, so there’s still time to see it for yourself!
