This structure has been left untouched since the day that that atomic bomb fell here.

This structure miraculously avoided complete destruction despite standing in close proximity to the site of the atomic bomb blast. It has been preserved since as an everlasting symbol of the importance of peace and became a World Heritage Site in 1996. Visitors are free to observe the structure from the outside.
