We recommend visitors buy a little Jizo Bodhisattva statue at the stall by the entrance to the Daibutsu Plaza to commemorate their their visit. Placed on temple grounds in order to make a wish, write your name on his little red cape and enshrine it in the plaza if you want your wish to come true. Definitely a great way to celebrate your visit to Japan. |

We recommend wearing sneakers seeing as how it’s a mountain hike, but you don’t need fancy mountain climbing gear to enjoy a hike through the area.
